Eating That Frog!

Faking it is easy, but eating it is real! Of late, I've been reading Eat That Frog (Brain Tracy) and Eating a real Frog. That is why I was not able to fake (as in Yiya) another blog! Sorry Iwaya!
The book says if you are to eat a Frog, then Eat the ugliest and fattest in the pond! I have been there and its not easy. You do wanna know the kind of Frog I am eating! After streeting (as in job hunting) I land a "fat" job! I under go serious training and I think, "this is the first day of happily ever after!" and lo and behold, I am deployed to work up country. Am taking about no water, no internet, no soap dish, no bathroom, no newspaper, no toilet paper, no stable network, no trousers, no nothing... and toilets that are something close to flats! I reach there and I cant believe it.
Thanks to my super ego, I decide to fake it and enjoy my work! After all, I am riding a big bike! (There is no excuse for not doing your job) Two weeks down the road, I HATE my job, I HATE my clients, I HATE my super ego for not leaving the job (people will think I have failed) and I HATE my employers for giving me a job which is even outside my career ( I always thought I would be a journalist of sorts) and I HATE Brain for writing that book... which has given me the courage to go on eating a really ugly Frog! Besides the word Frog, Procrastination is written over 1000 times reminding of my favourite roomie and making me read it to the end.
The book says I cant eat every tadpole and Frog in the pond, but I can eat the ugliest and the biggest! and well that I have to be my personal cheer leader so....Go Gal! Kyazie (Its called Kyazanga but naturally, I have faked a name for it) is not the limit!
In another development....
Hats off forSunday Vision for writing about my favourite brogren! I saw 27th Comrade, jackfruity, and was like what! I know those guys! wait a minute...in blogsphere!

Hey, the bike alone is worth anything! If I could get me a big red bike ... I could take an up-country job. Depending, of course. I can live without the basics, but ... at some point it becomes detrimental. The one you describe is a bit painful. :o(

But I wish you well.

God didn't make jobs for us to enjoy them. If he had wanted us to enjoy our jobs, he would not have called them jobs, he would have called them Candy.

I heard that on TV.

I told my boss yesterday that I hate my job, I pray that I get fired and that I'd rather...well, anyway, he hasn't stopped lecturing me since and he told me not to let anyone know that I don't like my job plus some nasty experience he had after retiring before his time. (He is Kenyan). But honestly, I really need a change as long as it is more paying. Nice post!

you brave! look at this way- in a few years time you wil have more interesting, hilarious stories to tell- and it my just give that broader perspective to yor journalism career- Do I sound like those annoying people who tell you 'everything will be ok' and you want to scream...' SHUT UP! work with my sorrow and hatred of frogs here!'
If so- mission accomplished...
